Low-emission combustion chamber
When developing combustion chambers of modern gas turbine engines, the defining task is to organize a stable combustion process of the air-fuel mixture and achieve the level of emission of harmful substances and non-volatile particles in accordance with the long-term ICAO requirements. The low-emission combustion chamber developed by UEC operates using improved "rich-lean" or "lean" combustion technology. Fuel supply is carried out using pneumatic atomization. In the course of work to optimize the combustion process, the residence time of combustion products in high-temperature zones has been reduced, which makes it possible to achieve the required emission characteristics. The design of the combustion chamber uses advanced heat-resistant alloys and heat-protective coatings to ensure a long service life.
